It is the selfhood which we apprehended in con- sciousness this selfhood is the real center of the inner life. We do not need to look for some ultra-conscious prin- ciple for the unification of our conscious world. If then we apply the analogy of selfhood to the macrocosm outside of us we shall discover that the idea-forces outside are the natural bearers of the function of selfhood. The plurality of forces is no obstacle except in appearance for we have learned in our own experience how selfhood can maintain itself in plural world.
