A medium-sized or tall tree, sometimes 30 meters high, with a small crown, the leaves clustered at the ends of the branches, oblanceolate, about 8 cm.

Long, obtuse, attenuate to the base, somewhat serrulate above the middle, the two sides of the blade very unequal; flowers white, malodorous, axillary, solitary, 4 cm.

Broad, the large sepals sericeous; fruit capsular.
